RPG is a dreamy summer collaboration between Surrey-based artists BAINS. (of bbno$'s 'bad girl' fame) and Skinny Local. An acronym for 'Role Playing Game', according to Skinny the song was inspired "by RPG video games, and other fantasy art. The idea of going on a new quest." BAINS. continues "I used RPG as metaphor for my own life, and the long journey I’ve been on, and will continue to be on, as an artist. The “game” here being the music industry". A testament to the vibrant music scene in British Columbia's most diverse city, the two artists live 5 minutes apart and met through Skinny Local's brother. "One thing lead to another and we ended up linking and becoming good friends. Somehow it’s taken us this long to make a song together but I’m glad it finally happened." So are we.
